Out and About with ACSKC
The Animal Care Shelter for Kent County participates in and hosts events throughout the year that support animal welfare and strengthen our community connections. From adoption events and fundraisers to local festivals and outreach opportunities, each appearance allows us to share our mission, connect with supporters, and advocate for the animals in our care. We look forward to seeing you out in the community.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Dogwood Festival Parade
May 9 | Begins at 10 AM | Main Street Galena
The tails will be wagging and the paws will be marching! ACSKC is excited to join the parade this year with some of our amazing staff, volunteers, and adoptable pups. Come cheer us on and celebrate community, compassion, and second chances with us!
Vault Storage Yard Sale
May 16, 8:30 AM–2 PM | Vault Storage
Come visit our table from 9 AM–12 PM to learn more about ACSKC, upcoming events, and ways to get involved. We may even have a few adoptable animals joining us, so be sure to stop by and say hello!
WellFest
May 16, 10 AM–2 PM | Wilmer Park, Chestertown
We are excited to be part of this years WellFest! Stop by the ACSKC booth to meet adoptable animals, grab information about our programs, and celebrate community wellness with us. We cannot wait to see you there!
Chestertown Tea Party Fried Clams & Beer
May 23 | 10 AM–4 PM
Join ACSKC for a day of fried clams, cold beer, and community fun—all while supporting the homeless animals in our care. Stop by, grab a bite, enjoy the festivities, and help make a difference for the dogs, cats, and small animals who rely on us every day.

The Animal Care Shelter for Kent County is proud to participate in a wide range of community events throughout the year. Whether you are organizing a festival, school program, corporate gathering, fundraiser, or local celebration, our team may be able to attend in a variety of ways — including bringing adoptable animals (when appropriate), providing educational outreach, sharing community resources, hosting an informational booth, or partnering in creative ways to support animal welfare.
