Our Work in Action

Each year, the Animal Care Shelter for Kent County provides care, safety, and second chances to hundreds of animals in our community. The reports and statistics below offer a transparent look at that work—from intake and medical care to adoptions, reunions, and community programs. These numbers reflect the collective efforts of staff, volunteers, fosters, adopters, and supporters working together to improve the lives of animals across Kent County.

WAYS TO GIVE

You can include ACSKC in your legacy plans through:

  • Naming ACSKC in your Will or Living Trust

  • Designating ACSKC as a beneficiary of a retirement account or life insurance policy

  • Establishing a charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder trust

  • Making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA (if age 70½ or older). QCDs allow you to donate up to $100,000 per year directly from your IRA to ACSKC, tax-free. If you’re 73 or older, this also counts toward your required minimum distribution.
